David Schickler is a screenwriter and author. Daivd co-created and executive produced the hit Cinemax television series Banshee. He is the author of the New York Times bestselling novel Kissing In Manhattan, nationally bestselling novel Sweet and Vicious, and his critically acclaimed memoir, The Dark Path. He has written original and adapted scripts for Universal, Lions Gate, HBO, Thunder Road Films, and many others.
His books have been published in nine countries and his stories have appeared in The New Yorker, Travel & Leisure, and Zoetrope, as well as on Selected Shorts. His short story The Smoker won an O. Henry Award and was optioned by Paramount Pictures.
He lives in New York with his wife and their children.
